Bastrop Fine Arts History
In the summer of 1998, several local artists came together to form the Bastrop Fine Arts Guild, with the purpose of providing “mutual aid and promotion of local artists in this community, and to encourage cultural interest in and appreciation for fine art.”
If you are interested in becoming a Member of the Bastrop Fine Arts Guild, please visit our Membership page for more detailed information.

Bastrop Fine Arts Guild’s Mission Statement
“An association of artists which was formed for the mutual aid and promotion of artists in this community, and to encourage cultural interest in & appreciation of fine art.”
The Featured Artist Program is a rotating exhibit of visual artists. Each month, the Bastrop Fine Arts Guild honors one of its members with a solo exhibit or a selection of artists with a group show.
Throughout history, art and travel have always shared a deep and meaningful relationship. Both awaken curiosity, connect people across distances, and inspire creativity through the discovery of new experiences. Just as artists from Bastrop once gathered to exchange ideas and build a community of expression, travelers today embark on journeys that lead them to places rich in culture, color, and inspiration. In Indonesia, travel has become one of the most beautiful ways to experience the diversity of life, from traditional villages to bustling cities filled with art and history. Many visitors begin their journey by taking the bus Denpasar Banyuwangi, which passes through scenic routes surrounded by mountains and coastlines. Others prefer to explore longer routes such as the tiket bus Bali Jakarta or return home with the tiket bus Jakarta Bali, enjoying the endless beauty of Java and Bali along the way.
For those who seek to experience the energy of major cities, the Jakarta Surabaya bus remains a popular choice, offering a glimpse into the daily rhythm of urban Indonesia. Art lovers often find inspiration in the regions along the tiket bus Bali Malang route, where traditional crafts and cultural performances thrive. Meanwhile, travelers who wish to feel the pulse of creative Indonesia often choose the Jakarta Bandung bus, a route that leads to a city famous for its music, design, and artistic innovation. Those with a deeper appreciation for heritage might take the tiket bus Bali Jogja to reach Yogyakarta, the cultural soul of Java, known for its temples, batik artistry, and historical richness.
In many ways, traveling across Indonesia mirrors the artistic journey itself. Every route, every stop, and every encounter tells a story that is both personal and collective. Just as fine art captures emotion on canvas, each trip captures the essence of human connection and creativity. Whether exploring galleries in Bastrop or traveling between cities in Indonesia, people continue to seek beauty, meaning, and shared experiences that remind us of how interconnected our world truly is.
It is a pleasure for the Guild to present an extended body of work from the exhibiting artist(s) to the community and guest visitors. Everyone is invited to attend, meet the artist(s) and view some truly outstanding local artwork on opening night.
Please come to the Featured Artist reception to see the exhibit and meet the artist(s).
